I’m pleased to let you know that in Utah, there are no special requirements that one must follow when completing a 1031 Exchange. Since 1031 is a section of the federal tax code, it’s applicable in all fifty states. So if you’re a customer who’s wanting to sell in Utah and purchase elsewhere, we’d be so happy to help you.
Now, as a reminder, when conducting a 1031 Exchange, it’s really important to select a Qualified Intermediary who’s going to keep your funds safe. Being that we are wholly owned by Fidelity National Financial (NYSE: FNF), we have a hundred million dollar Fidelity Bond, a $50 million dollar Performance Guarantee, and $30 million dollars of Errors and Omissions Insurance. We very much take the safety and security of your funds seriously.
