The House recently passed the 2022 reconciliation Budget Resolution that sets up work on the 3.5 trillion infrastructure plan including social programs and tax increases. It is the tax increases that threaten Section 1031 with a $500K cap for each taxpayer. House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal notified the Committee’s members to be ready for the Committee reconciliation markup on September 9 and 10 and then the following week on September 13 and 14.
