James has received the prestigious CES, Certified Exchange Specialist, designation by the Federation of Exchange Accommodators.
 
In 1995, James Callejas graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and headed off to Beverly Hills to work for Merrill Lynch as part of a team who believed that the only way they would succeed was working 24/7. After jumping through hoops for 2 years, he returned to the Bay Area, where after a brief hiatus at Wells Fargo working on mutual fund wrap products and fee-based businesses, he decided to join IPX1031. Over a period of 8 years, this workaholic learned about 1031 exchanges from the bottom-up, starting with documenting the process in accordance with IRS regulations all the way to running seminars and educating audiences on the “ins and outs” of exchanges, associated tax implications and learning how to build wealth within real estate.
